I realized that aside from my short Bio on the side, I haven’t really introduced myself here on my blog. Well the timing couldn’t be more perfect. So as for the first post of this year, why not introduce myself to you?
Hi! My name is Zipporah and
Welcome to my blog
It all started 5 years ago. Wait. No. Let’s back up a little bit more.
It all started 28 years ago. I was born and nicknamed by my father as “Baby”. I have 7 half-sisters, 1 half-brother and 1 full sister, and we’re all pretty close. I moved to U.S. when I was 15 years old. My life was pretty normal and pretty much just typical: Cooking and watching my favorite T.V. show F.R.I.E.N.D.S all day long. That was my idea of fun.
I hit 21.
…and my life changed a little bit. I was legal so it means, my life was all about partying. (Well who didn’t go through that phase?). It lasted for couple of years, till one night…
I met the love of my life.
One night I was partying till the morning, then, next thing I know I’m camping into the woods, I’m hiking, I’m learning how to ride dirt bikes…
My husband, whose idea of fun is hiking, camping, outdoor activities and riding dirt bikes, introduced me to all the adventures I never knew I would love.
From partying every weekend to hiking, camping, and riding dirt bikes with him. We have been inseparable, ever since.
On 2012 I decided to take our relationship to the next level. I invited him to come with me to my country, the Philippines, to meet my mom and my other family who still lives there. It was our first international trip together and biggest adventure we’ve ever taken. At that time, I knew he was the one.
On 2013 we moved in together. We have been going to much more adventures that I can’t even count anymore. Camping into the woods, riding dirt bikes, hiking, local travels…until 2014 he decided to popped the question at our most favorite hiking spot in Ventura. Point Magu.
01.11.14 I’m engaged to the love of my life. Even though we were saving up for our wedding and honeymoon, my adventures with him didn’t stop. Hiking and camping pretty much was an every weekend thing for us.
The day has finally come. May 30, 2015. I’m married. For our honeymoon, my husband and I thought we should go back to the first place where we realized that we’re the one for each other. The Philippines. We took an amazing 3 weeks vacation just falling for each other more and more.
Ever since, I was never the same. I am married. Married. But the most change that I notice after our honeymoon – I am more hungry for more adventures. I am now taking my own solo strolls, planning my solo travels, planning more adventures for me and my husband…it’s insane.
To never forget and to cherish my adventures whether with my husband or by myself, I thought I’d take as much photos I can and share as much of my adventures on my blog. Just like writing it on my diary and making a scrap book. Except, I have it open for everyone to read.
So I’m here to share my adventures with you. I hope that my blog and photos can serve a fun adventure inspiration and inspire you to go out there and just have fun or maybe if you’re lucky, meet someone that will also change you.
